PsyCare Ireland welcomes 30 new volunteers to the team!

We’re very happy to be adding another dollop of wonderful volunteers to the PsyCare Ireland crew!

At the start of June we held our in-person training day at the Teacher’s Club in Dublin, to welcome 30 new volunteers. Training in new volunteers is a crucial part of our work at PsyCare, and volunteers go through a thorough screening process, before completing online training, and then finally our more interactive in-person day of training which allows us to use scenario-based roleplays to help get everyone ready for the real-life situations they may encounter working through the festival season.

As an organisation we are wholly volunteer-based, and volunteers handle every aspect of the work that PsyCare Ireland does - from committee level decisions, to logistics and transport, to providing meals for the crew, and of course running our on-site welfare and harm-reduction services.

Some of the newest members have already joined us at events this summer, and we are looking forward to upcoming opportunities for the rest to get some more valuable experience under their belts!

If you're interested in becoming a volunteer - our next intake will be 2025, we will publish application details through our newsletter and website closer to the time.
