Really excited to share the news that PsyCare Ireland: Welfare and Harm Reduction CLG is now a member of Mental Health Reform!
To introduce ourselves to the wider membership and the MHR team we recorded this podcast introducing PsyCare, the mental health challenges faced by people that we are trying to alleviate and introducing our model of care!
We also discuss our future plans for things like education and aftercare and share how folks who want to get involved can begin to volunteer with us!
Thanks again to Stephen Donnelly for having Mick on and to the whole Mental Health Reform team for doing all the amazing work that you do!

We are thrilled to share that PsyCare Ireland: Welfare and Harm Reduction CLG is now a member of the National Rural Safety Forum!
The National Rural Safety Forum (NRSF) focuses on enhancing safety and security in rural communities by developing crime prevention strategies, increasing community engagement, and reducing opportunities for crime.
It aims to create a safer environment for people in rural areas, particularly in their homes and local environments. The NRSF is a collaborative effort involving various organizations, including the Department of Justice, An Garda Síochána, and the Irish Farmers' Association (IFA), working together to address rural safety concerns.
As a member of this forum going forward PsyCare's aim is to continue to highlight the dangers of a lack of welfare at music events and public gatherings and to also try to upskill rural communities to deal with mental health and drug related crises which may happen in any form of nightlife setting.
Enhancing our network with the forum while contributing to the bigger picture in society supercharges our mission which has always been to create prolonged cultural change beyond the music festivals and events.
Watch this space as we will continue to share more exciting updates about our part in the National Rural Safety Forum and the upcoming National Rural Safety Plan under the Department of Justice!
